Handyman pricing is built from time, materials and logistics. A single small item can cost almost as much as several, because getting a pro to your door is a fixed part of the cost. That's why lists are better value than one-offs.
How handyman jobs are priced
| Model | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Hourly | Time on site, often with a minimum. | Mixed lists where the time is hard to predict. |
| Per item or project | A fixed price for a defined job. | Clear jobs like mounting a TV or re-screening panels. |
| Minimum visit | A floor price for any visit. | Small single items. |
What changes the estimate
- Number of items and how they group together
- Materials and special-order parts
- Access: ladders, high ceilings, condo elevator time
- Travel to islands or distant areas
- Drying time that needs a second visit (drywall, caulk)
- Whether licensed trades are needed for part of the job
How Uniform prices work
- We tell you any minimum before booking
- You get a written estimate before work starts
- New items on the day are priced before we do them
- Licensed-trade items are listed and referred separately
- The workmanship guarantee terms are on the estimate
We publish our pricing policy, not made-up market averages. When your local Uniform Handyman company publishes standard rates, they'll appear here.
